Nuatali Nelmes and Jeremy Bath have been advocating to the NSW State Government to lift the Local Government Rate Cap so they can continue jacking up Newcastle rates.

When Nelmes first became Lord Mayor, she lifted rates by an astronomical 46% (while giving herself a 25% pay rise!!)

With no mandated rate cap from the State Government, there will be no mechanism to keep your rates to a reasonable rise each year. And knowing our Lord Mayor with her addiction to frivolous spending, she will almost certainly raise them as much as she can.

DON'T GIVE NELMES 14 YEARS ON 14 SEPTEMBER
